Work Experience

Over the last few years, I’ve built experience across financial services, real estate, and sport-related roles, combining analysis, client interaction, and event management. Each role has challenged me in different ways, from working within tight audit deadlines to supporting commercial teams to coordinating large tennis tournaments. I’ve deliberately explored these different sectors to understand what type of work I enjoy most and to eliminate sectors that I’ve no interest in, all with the aim to find the right fit.

Although all of these experiences are vastly different, there is a common underlying thread throughout, which is preparation, communication, and performing in pressure situations.

This page highlights some of the more recent roles that have shaped my work ethic into what it is today, and shows the skills I carry forward with me into future roles.

KPMG Financial Services Intern

During the summer of 2024, I worked in KPMG as a financial service audit summer intern. In this role I was involved in preparing work papers, performed substantive testing, and worked with Excel ensuring data accuracy and clear documentation.

I was trusted to manage part of external communications with clients requesting and tracking key documentation under strict deadlines. Having such responsibilities in this role streghtnhened my confidence and attention to detail. This experience opened a doorway to potential future career opportunities in fast paced, client focused environments.

During my time in the USA, I had the opportunity to shadow a commercial real estate team. In this role, I sat in on meetings with stakeholders, which gave me a first-hand view of how effective communication increases productivity in a workplace. I observed that communication and honest conversations helped proctors move forward smoothly and reduce confusion within teams.

This was a valuable learning experience, and a reminder that strong technical knowledge is important, but the way in which we communicate - speaking, listening and asking questions - is invaluable in keeping all teams aligned to a common objective.

Assistant Tournament Organiser

In 2022, I was co-tournament director of the Donnybrook Senior Open. I supported match scheduling and worked with 377 participants, each with different schedules and availability. Aligning these schedules was the biggest challenge I faced, and it really tested my problem-solving skills.

I had to think creatively to keep the event running smoothly and ensure we met deadlines. My high adaptability shone through when I had to coordinate with nearby tennis clubs to secure additional court space when needed. This experience taught me the importance of planning, adaptability and remaining calm under pressure when hundreds of people are relying on you.
